England undoubtedly despises Trump – perhaps even more than Trump’s home country. The scaredy-cat president got cold feet when it came time to visit England this year due to the English vowing to meet him with mass protests.
There have been several instances throughout the year where Trump’s insulted Britain. For starters, he attacked the Mayor of London on Twitter while the city was scrambling to contain a terrorist attack. More recently, he posted anti-Muslim videos posted by a British ultranationalist group and later faced condemnation from top English officials, including Prime Minister Theresa May.
Trump responded to May’s criticism of his poorly chosen videos in a tweet that read:
“Theresa May, don’t focus on me, focus on the destructive Radical Islamic Terrorism that is taking place within the United Kingdom.”
