Trump is obsessed with Obama; there’s no doubt about that. He spends most of his time – when he’s not watching TV or munching on McDonald’s – working to undo Obama-era rules. In one of his latest attacks on Obama’s legacy, Trump’s USDA rolled back a regulation requiring “USDA Organic” chicken farmers to follow specific guidelines.
Nevertheless, Americans will never forget the phenomenal job Obama did during his two terms as president. Since leaving the White House, Obama has continued to receive significant honors around the world – something Trump should not expect once he is out of the White House.
Colorado Democrats just decided to commemorate the Obamas by renaming their annual dinner the “Obama Dinner.” Democrats intended to honor both Barack and Michelle with the new title.
Executive Director Pilar Chapa said the party wanted to acknowledge the Obamas’ “historic contributions.” The “Obama Dinner” was formerly known as the “Jefferson-Jackson Dinner” to honor former Presidents Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson.
Chapa stated, “The Obama legacy embodies the values we hold as Democrats, and we are beyond proud to rename our annual dinner after our former first family.”
