Former President Barack Obama took time out of his day to get into the holiday spirit and delight everyone at the Boys & Girls Club in Washington, D.C. with his presence earlier this month. He played the part well, wearing a leather jacker, khakis and a red Santa hat – a modern day Santa Claus. He showed up with a bag full of gifts for everyone, and not only that, but he also had some very wise advice for the children as well.
“I hope you guys are doing something wonderful in your communities that brings us all together. At a time when people are feeling stressed sometimes, and anxious about the future, doing something good for somebody will make you feel better,” he said, as the children listened closely.
Obama was so excited and explained as he was walking into the building, with red and green bags full of presents, “We are at the Boys & Girls Club, and in line with the holiday spirit, we thought we’d bring a few toys for the kids.”
